Outdoor Education

 

Early term three the children of Room 4 and 5 ( Year 4 to 6 ) visited the Waitomo District, for three days , enjoying marae living, exploring caves, visiting places of interest and completing a variety of team based activiies.

 

During the childrens time in the senior school, they have three visits, it maybe to the city, seaside or to an inland venue.

 

The Waitomo experience was unique, as the children stayed on a marae and visited several places of interest.

 

Everyone especially enjoyed the opportunities to explore caves, wading through streams, climbing over rocks  and viewing the  wonderful formations.

We travelled to view the natural bridge, saw the tumbling Marakopa Falls and raced along the sands of the west coast beach.
